Takasaki Advanced Radiation Research Institute has the ion beam irradiation facility equipped with cyclotron, tandem and single-ended accelerators, and ion implanter, the electron beam irradiation facility, and the cobalt 60 -ray irradiation facility. These facilities are opened widely to universities, public laboratories and industries to promote the radiation application in the fields of material development, environmental conservation and biotechnology. To use these facilities, there are three programs of the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan) grants, share and common use, and in-house collaboration research. In the presentation, objective and outline of the three programs, particularly technical support on the MEXT grants, are introduced.
